Wendell Hull, founder and president of Wendell Hull & Associates, Inc. began working in the field of forensic engineering in 1975. Prior to establishing WHA, he worked as a forensic engineering consultant while teaching Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science at New Mexico State University. In 1987, desiring to launch a firm dedicated to providing quality forensic engineering services, he started WHA. In 1997, Dr. Hull expanded the company's capabilities by establishing a Test Facility which provides state-of-the-art standardized and specialty testing to industry and the Forensic Engineering community. Over the last two decades, WHA has expanded to become one of the leading forensic engineering firms in the United States and throughout the world.

Dr. Hull's areas of expertise include investigation and analysis of fires and explosions. He is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI), and a Certified Fire Investigation Instructor (CFII). He is also a reconstruction expert who has investigated over 2500 accidents and failures, including vehicle, heavy equipment, mechanical equipment, structural, product and appliance.

During his extensive career in investigation and analysis, Wendell Hull has authored numerous articles on many facets of forensic science and engineering, fire and explosion investigations and accident reconstruction.  As a court-recognized expert witness in many areas of forensic science and engineering, Dr. Hull has testified in hundreds of cases throughout the United States.
